Unique Visitors – this is the most reliable indicator of the number of people viewing the site in a day. It is probably a slight underestimate, as several people using the same open-access computer could visit the site. The actual number of visits is quite a lot higher than this figure, because sometimes people's modem drops the connection several times in a session, or they go to another site and then come back. Visits can be a misleading figure for that reason, so we just show Unique Visitors and Pages Viewed.
Pages Viewed - this is the total number of pages viewed in a day or other period. Eg if someone visits the home page, contacts page and links page, then leaves - this registers three page views. Repeat views of the same page are not counted (see page impressions).
Page Impressions - this counts all views of pages, including when a visitor returns to the home page several times, or hits screen refresh.
Countries Report - this gives an accurate picture of the countries your visitors are from, unlike most web statistics programs which provide very poor information on this subject.
Referrers (external/internal) - an address a user comes to a page from. This is vital in order to find out which are the most valuable search engines and directories. Eg, Yahoo!, Google etc.
Search Terms - this records the phrases people use to search for your site when they find you with a search engine such as Google or Lycos, or a directory such as Yahoo! It provides valuable data about what is most interesting to your website visitors.
OS Used - Operating System used by the website visitors, eg Windows 98.
